Nestled in the shadow of the Olympic Mountains lies the Skokomish River Valley, a tranquil sanctuary where nature encourages creativity, spiritual growth, and responsible stewardship of our planet. Shepherd's Soap Company is blessed with the bounty of this natural setting.  Our goal is to enhance the quality and pleasure of your self-care and leisure time.

We have been intensely involved in researching, developing and handcrafting the very finest, all natural, "true" soaps for over sixteen years (since 1991!)  Our passion for the craft has served as both anchor and compass to keep us on course through the evolution of our solid business.  In that vein, it was good to find that we were not alone when some fellow soapcrafters developed the Handcrafted Soap Makers Guild. We are proud and grateful Members of both the HSMG, and the Natural Ingredients Resource Center. 

We use Fair Trade products including pure, natural, wildcrafted shea butter, in every product we offer.  Our shea butter is imported from Togo, and/or Ghana, West Africa, where it is hand-processed by local villagers.  These experiencedcrafters are paid a fair wage for their labor, which empowers them to provide food, clothing, shelter, and educational and medical amenities for themselves and their families.
